    • Job shadow and write about the experience

Homework:

  • Finish Prioritizing and filling in Week 3 – Prioritizing My Interests, Talents, Values, Dreams, and Lifestyle (worksheets were handed out in class, but are linked if you need another copy). Refer to pages 9-10 in Career Planning for Teens.
  • Complete this free career explorer test recommended in our book: https://www.careerexplorer.com/career-test/
    • This test may take quite a while to complete.
    • I highly recommend that you look at your career matches when prompted half-way through the test. Then you can then decide if you want to go on to finish the test or stop there.
    • The prompting should come when you get the check mark for Career Matches on the progress list on the right (If using a laptop or desktop computer. I didn’t test it on a phone)
  • Optional: More career tests are available and referenced in Career Planning for Teens p 28-35
  • Start thinking about what you want to do for your class project. If you want more information on researching careers see pages 49-60. We will discuss the projects again in class. However, if you want to get started these pages can be helpful in your research.
